The Sal y Limon Story

How we got here..

The story of Sal y Limon is the story of four food enthusiasts — Carolina, Adriana, Pepe and Sebastien — who wanted to share their passion and bring Vancouver Mexican food that was rich with authentic flavour. Nostalgic for the dishes she remembered from her family’s restaurant back in Manzanillo, Mexico, Carolina shared some of those traditional recipes with Chef Pepe and Sal y Limon was born.

Having children themselves, it was important for them to create a restaurant where families would feel welcome and enjoy a great meal in a fun and vibrant atmosphere.

The Food and Drinks

Our intention is to offer the best Mexican flavours in our wide selection of tacos, tortas, burritos, and other fare that capture the flavors of Mexico’s street food culture.

We focus on providing fresh ingredients, full flavour and our selection of homemade delectables like our salsas and horchata.

The restaurant is fully licensed so you can wash down your tacos and huaraches with a Mexican beer, our creamy rumchata or an ice cold margarita.

People Talk About Us

yah... it's so good! The people here are super kind, the food is on point, nice portions and the prices are inexpensive. There's always a line up, but it moves quickly. Place your order, grab a number, take a seat then get some hot sauce. There's not a single thing I've tried and not liked, but my favourite is the slow roasted chicken burrito. They have Modelo which is a win in my books. Great for little munchkins and adults, there's plenty of seats for everyone. They do take out, which is rad if you want to skip the lineup. Overall, it's authentic, the ingredients are quality and the people working are rad. The atmosphere is "in and out" no flare. Awesome for a 1st date, tinder match up or ma and pa dine out.

I just love this place. Love the food. The people are nice. The price is good. Service is fast. The choice of salsas is awesome! Love that they use plant-starch spoons and forks instead of plastic!

I've been to Sal y Limon a few times now and it’s now my favorite place for tacos. It's just like the tacos in Mexico and I love the originality of the place.
